Description: A vulnerability has been reported in IBM AIX, which potentially can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.
The vulnerability is caused due to boundary error in swcons and can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow via overly long input data.
The vulnerability is reported in versions 5.2 and 5.3.
