Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in webSPELL, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed to the "topic" parameter in printview.php and various other parameters are not properly sanitised before being used in an SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Examples:
http://[host]/index.php?site=awards&action=details&awardID=[SQL]
http://[host]/index.php?site=clanwars_details&cwID=[SQL]
http://[host]/index.php?site=demos&action=showdemo&demoID=[SQL]
http://[host]/index.php?site=profile&action=buddys&id=[SQL]
http://[host]/index.php?site=links&action=show&linkcatID=[SQL]
http://[host]/index.php?site=faq&action=faqcat&faqcatID=[SQL]
http://[host]/index.php?site=faq&action=faq&faqID=[SQL]
http://[host]/index.php?site=articles&action=show&articlesID=[SQL]
http://[host]/index.php?site=news_comments&newsID=[SQL]
http://[host]/index.php?site=cash_box&action=edit&id=[SQL]

Successful exploitation e.g. allows retrieval of password hashes but requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

2) Input passed in the "ws_auth" cookie to index.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation allows e.g. bypassing authentication for administrators but requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

3) Input passed to the "squadID" parameter in members.php is not properly sanitised before being used in an SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation reportedly allows bypassing authentication for administrators but requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 4.01.02. Other versions may also be affected.
