Description: Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in PhotoStand, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting, script insertion, and SQL injection attacks or bypass certain security restrictions.
1) Input passed to the "name" and "comment" form field parameters when posting a comment is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which is then executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is viewed.
2) Input passed to the "q" parameter in index.php when performing a search is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
3) The application allows access to the admin interface by checking if a certain cookie exists. This can be exploited to gain administrative access to the application by creating the cookie "PS-SAVE" and assigning it a base64 encoded value of a valid user name.
4) Input passed to the base64-encoded "PS_SAVE" cookie in admin/index.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.2.0. Other versions may also be affected.
