Description: laurent gaffié has discovered a vulnerability in MTCMS, which potentially can be exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.
The application does not properly verify uploaded gallery pictures and banner files for web links. This can be exploited to e.g. upload malicious PHP script files inside the web root.
Successful exploitation requires that the attacker knows the exact file name that is stored since the application prepends some characters to the file name when uploaded.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 2.2. Other versions may also be affected.
