Description: Kevin Masterson (cybermind) has discovered a vulnerability in WebMod, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the "connectHandle()" function when processing the "Content-Length" HTTP header. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by sending a specially crafted request to a vulnerable server.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
Solution: Restricted access to trusted people only.
Provided and/or discovered by: Kevin Masterson (cybermind)
Changelog: 2007-03-06: Added CVE reference.
