Description:
Umesh Wanve has discovered a vulnerability in TFTP Server TFTPDWIN, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to the way the server handles overly long messages (error code 10040) when using the "recv_from()" call. This can be exploited to cause the service to terminate via an overly long (more than 516 bytes) datagram sent to the TFTP service (default port 69/UDP).

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 0.4.2. Other versions may also be affected.
