Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Interstage Application Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

Unspecified input passed to the Servlet service and the Servlet service for Interstage Management Console (or Interstage Operation Management) is not properly sanitised before being returned to users. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of a vulnerable site.

Solution:
The vendor has released patches for certain versions. Please see vendor advisory for a patch matrix.

The vendor recommends setting error pages for both HTTP status codes 404 and 500. Please see vendor advisory for details.
