Description: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Takebishi DeviceXplorer OPC Server, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to errors in the OPC Data Access interface method "IOPCServer::RemoveGroup" and can be exploited to e.g. cause the server to crash or overwrite arbitrary memory via specially crafted OPC handles.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerabilities affect versions 3.11 Build6 former, 3.12 Build1, and 3.12 Build2 of the following products:
* DeviceXPlorer MELSEC OPC Server
* DeviceXPlorer SYSMAC OPC Server
* DeviceXPlorer FA-M3 OPC Server
* DeviceXPlorer TOYOPUC OPC Server
* DeviceXPlorer HIDIC OPC Server
* DeviceXPlorer MODBUS OPC Server
