Some vulnerabilities have been reported in NPDS, which can be exploited by malicious users and malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.
1) Input passed to the "_FILES[DB][tmp_name]" parameter in print.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
2) Input passed via cookie parameters is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation requires valid user credentials.
Successful exploitation of both vulnerabilities allows the disclosure of administrator credentials, which can be used to e.g. inject and execute arbitrary PHP code.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 5.10 with the security patch from 2006-06-13. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
