Description: Park Gyu Tae has reported a vulnerability in SignKorea's SKCommAX ActiveX control, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the "DownloadCertificateExt()" method. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow via an overly long string passed as the pszUserID argument of the method.
Successful exploitation may allow arbitrary code execution but requires that the user is e.g. tricked into visiting a malicious website.
The vulnerability is reported in versions 7.2.0.2 and 6.6.0.1. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to the latest version.
Provided and/or discovered by: Park Gyu Tae
