Description

Lostmon has discovered some vulnerabilities and weaknesses in aBitWhizzy, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose system information or conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

1) Input passed to the "d" parameter in whizzylink.php, whizzery/whizzylink.php, whizzypic.php, and whizzery/whizzypic.php is not properly sanitised before being used to list the content of a directory. This can be exploited to list the content of arbitrary directories via directory traversal attacks.

2) Input passed to the "d" parameter in whizzypic.php and whizzery/whizzypic.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

The vulnerabilities and weaknesses are confirmed in version 7. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
