Description: Will Dormann has reported a vulnerability in SolidWorks sldimdownload ActiveX control, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to the sldimdownload ActiveX control including the insecure "Run()" method, which takes in "installerpath" and "applicationarguments" as arguments. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary local or remote programs with parameters on a user's system via a specially crafted web site.
Successful exploitation requires that the user is e.g. tricked into visiting a malicious web site.
