Two vulnerabilities have been discovered in toendaCMS, which can be exploited by malicious users to disclose potentially sensitive information and by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
1) Input passed to the "searchword" parameter in index.php (when "id" is set to "search") is not properly sanitised before being returned to a user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
2) Input passed to the "site" parameter in engine/admin/admin.php (when "id_user" is set to a valid user id) is not properly verified before being used to display files. This can be exploited to disclose the contents of arbitrary files via directory traversal attacks.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires access rights for the admin section (e.g. "Writer" access rights).
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.6.2. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Use a different product.
