Beschreibung:
Eine Sicherheitslücke in Novell GroupWise wurde gemeldet, die böswillige Personen ausnutzen können, um ein verwundbares System zu kompromittieren.

Die Sicherheitslücke besteht in einem Fehler in der Verarbeitung von base64-Daten, die in einer HTTP-Authentifizierungs-Anfrage übergeben werden. Diese kann ausgenutzt werden, um mit Daten in einer speziell präparierten Anfrage (mindestens 336 Bytes) einen Stack-basierten Pufferüberlauf zu verursachen.

Eine erfolgreiche Ausnutzung könnte die Ausführung von beliebigem Code ermöglichen.
