Description: A vulnerability has been reported in Imager, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise an application using the library.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the processing of 8Bit BMP compressed files. This can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow by e.g. tricking a user into opening a specially crafted BMP file with an application using the library.
Successful exploitation may allow the execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 0.57.
Solution: Update to version 0.57.
