Beschreibung:
Marsu hat eine Sicherheitslücke in verschiedenen Adobe Produkten entdeckt, die böswillige Personen ausnutzen können, um das System eines Benutzers zu kompromittieren.

Die Sicherheitslücke besteht in einem Begrenzungsfehler im "PNG.8BI" Photoshop-Format-Plugin bei der Verarbeitung von PNG-Dateien. Diese kann ausgenutzt werden, um mit einer speziell präparierten PNG-Datei einen Stack-basierten Pufferüberlauf zu verursachen.

Eine erfolgreiche Ausnutzung könnte die Ausführung von beliebigem Code ermöglichen.

Die Sicherheitslücke wurde in Adobe Photoshop CS2 und Adobe Photoshop Elements (Editor) Version 5.0 für Windows bestätigt und betrifft angeblich Adobe Photoshop CS3.
