A vulnerability has been reported in OPeNDAP CGI Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error within the "get_url()" function in DODS_Dispatch.pm. This can be exploited to inject and execute arbitrary commands via a specially crafted URL.
The vulnerability is reported in the CGI based server versions 3.2.10 to 3.7.4.
Solution: Upgrade to Hyrax (Server version 4) or apply patch.
