Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Novell NetMail, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the SSL version of the NMDMC.EXE service and can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted packet sent to the service.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is reported in version 3.52e_FTF2. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
The vendor has issued a beta patch, 3.52f Beta 1.
