Description

nnposter has reported a weakness in Packeteer PacketShaper, which can be exploited by malicious people to spoof TCP connections.

The problem is that TCP ISNs (Initial Sequence Numbers) are generated in a predictable way and can be exploited to spoof TCP connections.

The weakness is reported in versions 7.3.0g2 and 7.5.0g1. Other versions may also be affected.


Solution
Restrict network access to the device management interfaces.
