Description: Sun has acknowledged a vulnerability in Sun Solaris, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error and can be exploited by unprivileged, local users to set the inetd process into "maintenance" mode, resulting in all services managed by inetd being switched to the "offline" state.
The vulnerability is reported in Solaris 10 for both the x86 and SPARC platforms.
