Will Dormann has reported some vulnerabilities in FlipViewer, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to unspecified errors within the FViewerLoading (FlipViewerX.dll) ActiveX control when handling the "UID", "Opf", "PAGENO", "LaunchMode", "SubID", "BookID", "LibraryID", "SubURL", and "LoadOpf" properties. These can be exploited to cause stack-based buffer overflows when a user visits a malicious website.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 4.1.
