Description:
A security issue has been reported in Novell Modular Authentication Service, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to disclose sensitive information.

The problem is that NMASINST dumps the command line to SYS:/ETC/NMAS/NMASINST.LOG. This can be exploited to disclose the administrative password when it is provided via the command line.

The security issue is reported in Novell Modular Authentication Service (NMAS) version 3.1.2 on NetWare. Prior versions may also be affected.
