Description: Ted Percival has reported a security issue in Mail Notification, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose potentially sensitive information.
If Mail Notification is compiled with "WITH_SSL" defined as 0, it's silently using unencrypted connections for an account configured with SSL/TLS. This can be exploited to disclose the password of a user by e.g. sniffing network traffic.
The vulnerability is reported in versions 3.0 and 4.0. Other versions may also be affected.
