Beskrivelse:
Der er rapporteret nogle sårbarheder i Firebird, som kan udnyttes af ondsindede brugere til at udføre et DoS (Denial of Service) og ondsindede personer til at kompromittere et sårbart system.
1) En fejl under håndteringen af "connect" forespørgsler (0x1) med en stor "p_cnct_count" værdi kan udnyttes til at forårsage et buffer overflow via en specielt udformet connect-forespørgsel send til servicen (som standard port 3050/TCP).
2) Funktionen "filter_transliterate_text()" i filters.cpp håndterer ikke visse blob-segmenter korrekt, hvilket kan forårsage en uendelig løkke.
