CVE Reference(s):

Description

r0t has discovered two vulnerabilities in Sporum, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

Input passed to the "view" and "mode" parameters in certain files (e.g. spt/sporum/sporum/index.cgi or spt/sporum/sporum/comments.cgi) through /spt/sporum/Templates/FDefault.pm and potentially other files is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 3.0.9. Other versions may also be affected.

Use another product.
