Description:
Jesper Jurcenoks has discovered a vulnerability in Utopia News Pro, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

Input passed to the "password" parameter in login.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to a user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

Successful exploitation requires that the CAPTCHA is displayed by e.g. logging in several times using a valid username.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.4.0. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Update to version 1.4.0b.
