Description:
Will Dormann has reported a vulnerability in Novell exteNd Director, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to the LocalExec (LocalExec.ocx) ActiveX control including the insecure "launch()" method, which can be exploited to execute arbitrary local programs on a user's system.

The vulnerability reportedly affects version 4.1.

Solution:
The vendor recommends setting the kill-bit for the affected ActiveX control.
