Description:
Fabio Massimo Di Nitto has reported a vulnerability in Cluster Project, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or potentially gain escalated privileges.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the "process_client()" function in cman/daemon/daemon.c when handling client messages. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow and crash the process or execute arbitrary code with the privileges of CMAN by sending overly long client cluster messages.
