Description:
Cody Brocious has reported a vulnerability in Yoggie Pico Pro, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable device.

The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in the ping functionality of the web interface. This can be exploited to inject and execute arbitrary shell commands via backtick characters.

Example:
https://[device]:8443/cgi-bin/runDiagnostics.cgi?command=Ping&param=%60[code]%60

Successful exploitation requires that the user visits a malicious web site while being logged on to the device.

The vulnerability is reported in Yoggie Pico Pro. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Reportedly, updates have been released and applied automatically.
