Description:
Steve Kemp has reported a vulnerability in UNICON, which potentially can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when handling the "HOME" environment variable. This can potentially be exploited to e.g. execute arbitrary code with elevated privilege by setting a specially crafted "HOME" environment variable and executing a setuid root binary that uses the library.
