Beschreibung:
Secunia Research hat eine Sicherheitslücke in Microsoft Excel entdeckt, die böswillige Personen ausnutzen können, um das System eines Benutzers zu kompromittieren.

Die Sicherheitslücke wird durch einen Fehler bei der Überprüfung eines Index-Wertes des rtWnDesk-Datensatzes verursacht und kann ausgenutzt werden, um durch eine speziell präparierte Excel Workspace-Datei (XLW) eine Speicherkorruption zu verursachen.

Eine erfolgreiche Ausnutzung erlaubt eventuell die Ausführung von beliebigem Code.

Andere unspezifizierte Sicherheitslücken, die intern von Microsoft entdeckt wurden, sind ebenfalls gemeldet worden.
