Description:
Tavis Ormandy has reported a vulnerability in NVClock, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.

The vulnerability is caused due to the "set_default_speeds()" function in src/backend/backend.c accessing temporary files in an insecure manner. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary code with escalated privileges (usually root).

The security issue is reported in versions 0.7 and prior.
