|
Description: xssvgamer has discovered a vulnerability in IndexScript, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.
Input passed to the "cat_id" parameter in show_cat.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation allows e.g. retrieving administrator usernames and password hashes.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 2.8 and reported in version 2.7. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Apply the vendor's official fix:
