Description: Robert Swiecki has discovered a vulnerability in Konqueror, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct spoofing attacks.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error when processing the "setInterval()" function and can be exploited to display arbitrary content while showing the URL of a trusted web site in the address bar.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.5.7-01 on Fedora Core 6. Other versions may also be affected.
NOTE: An address bar spoofing vulnerability via whitespaces the username or the password within a URL has also been reported, but reportedly only affects versions that have the patch installed for the "data:" URI scheme address bar spoofing vulnerability.
