Der er rapporteret en sårbarhed i Microsoft XML Core Services, som kan udnyttes af ondsindede personer til at kompromittere en brugers system.
Sårbarheden skyldes et heltals-overflow i visse script-forespørgsler (f.eks. "substringData()" metoden i XMLDOM/TextNode JavaScript-objektet) og kan udnyttes til at forårsage et heap-baseret buffer overflow, hvis en bruger f.eks. besøger et ondsindet website.
