Description:
Wouter Coekaerts has reported a vulnerability in multiple irssi music announcement scripts, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions.

The vulnerability is caused due to the scripts not correctly filtering id3 tags before sending them to irssi. This can be exploited to e.g. send arbitrary commands to a server by tricking a user into playing and announcing a specially crafted MP3 file.

The vulnerability is reported in the following scripts:
ixmmsa.pl version 0.3
l33tmusic.pl version 2.00
mpg123.pl version 0.01
ogg123.pl version 0.01
xmms.pl version 2.0
xmms2.pl version 1.1.3
xmmsinfo.pl version 1.1.1.1
