Description:
Gregory Shikhman has reported a security issue in the nvidia-drivers package, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The security issue is caused due to incorrect permissions on the NVIDIA device files (/dev/nvidia*). This can be exploited to cause a DoS or potentially damage the hardware by sending arbitrary values to the device files.
