Beskrivelse:
Der er rapporteret en sårbarhed i Apache mod_proxy modulet, som kan udnyttes af ondsindede personer til at udføre DoS (Denial of Service).

Sårbarheden skyldes en fejl under håndteringen af "date" headere i funktionen "ap_proxy_date_canon()" i proxy_util.c. Dette kan udnyttes til at udføre et DoS via specielt udformede forespørgsler.

Succesfuld udnyttelse resulterer i et crash, hvis et threaded Multi-Processing Module benyttes på servere, hvor en "reverse" eller "forward" proxy er konfigureret.

Sårbarheden er rapporteret i Apache 2.0.x version 2.0.59 og tidligere samt Apache 2.2.x version 2.2.4 og tidligere.
