Beschreibung:
Eine Sicherheitslücke im Apache Modul "mod_proxy" wurde gemeldet, die böswillige Personen ausnutzen können, um einen DoS (Denial of Service) zu verursachen.

Die Sicherheitslücke besteht in der fehlerhaften Verarbeitung von "Date"-Headern innerhalb der Funktion "ap_proxy_date_canon()" in proxy_util.c. Diese kann ausgenutzt werden, um einen DoS zu verursachen, indem man speziell präparierte Anfragen an betroffene Server sendet.

Eine erfolgreiche Ausnutzung führt zu einem Crash, wenn ein Multi-Processing-Modul mit Threads auf einem Server verwendet wird, der als Reverse- oder Forward-Proxy konfiguriert ist.

Die Sicherheitslücke wurde in Apache 2.0.x in Version 2.0.59 und früher und Apache 2.2.x in Version 2.2.4 und früher.
