Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in QGit, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.

The vulnerability is caused due to the "DataLoader::doStart()" method in dataloader.cpp creating and handling temporary files in an insecure manner. This can be exploited to overwrite and execute arbitrary files via symlink attacks.

The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 1.5.7. Other versions may also be affected.

Update to version 1.5.7.
