Description:
Fourteenforty Research has reported a vulnerability in Lhaplus, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error when handling ARJ archives. This can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted ARJ archive containing a long filename.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is reported in version 1.53. Other versions may also be affected.

Update to version 1.55.
