| CVE reference: | CVE-2007-5210 CVE-2007-5211
|
|
Description: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Arbor Networks Peakflow SP, which can be exploited by malicious users to bypass certain security restrictions and conduct script insertion attacks.
1) An unspecified error in the handling of access controls can be exploited to view or manipulate data outside of the configured scope.
Successful exploitation requires a scoped administrative account or, in some cases, a non-administrative account.
2) Input to unspecified parameters in certain GET or POST requests is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which is executed a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is viewed.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version Peakflow SP 3.5.1 and 3.6.1 with scope accounts enabled.
Solution: Apply the security patch (please see release notes of Peakflow SP 3.5.1 patch 14 or Peakflow SP 3.6.1 patch 5)
