Description

rgod has discovered a vulnerability in CyberLink PowerDVD, which can be exploited by malicious people to overwrite arbitrary files.

The vulnerability is caused due to the CLAVSetting.CLSetting.1 (CLAVSetting.dll) ActiveX control including the insecure "CreateNewFile()" method, which creates a file specified as an argument.
