Description:
Avaya has acknowledged a vulnerability in Avaya CMS and IR, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The following products and versions are affected:
* Avaya CMS R12, R13/R13.1, R14
* Avaya IR 1.3, 2.0 and 3.0 on Solaris 8 and 10

Solution:
Avaya CMS:
The vendor recommends that local and network access to the affected systems be restricted until an update is available.

Avaya IR on Solaris 8:
The vendor recommends installing Solaris 8 Cluster, dated October 2007, followed by an install of the Sun patch 117350-48 or later.

Avaya IR on Solaris 10:
The vendor recommends installing IR Service Pack 1, dated October 2007.
