Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Firebird, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to boundary errors in the "INET_connect()" and "SVC_attach()" functions and can be exploited to cause stack-based buffer overflows via specially crafted parameters passed to the affected functions.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version WI-V1.5.4.4910, WI-V1.5.3.4870, LI-V1.5.4.4910, and LI-V1.5.3.4870. Other versions may also be affected.
