Some vulnerabilities have been reported in guilt, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to perform certain actions with escalated privileges.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to guilt creating and using temporary files insecurely. This can be exploited via symlink attacks to e.g. overwrite arbitrary files with the privileges of another user running certain guilt commands (e.g. "guilt-push").
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 0.27. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Restrict access to trusted people only.
