Description:
Luigi Auriemma has reported a vulnerability in The Dawn of Time, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or potentially compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a format string error within the processing of HTTP authentication requests to restricted areas. This can potentially be exploited to execute arbitrary code by sending a specially crafted username or password to the affected server.

The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 1.69s beta4. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Restrict access to the affected server.

The vendor will reportedly fix the vulnerability in the next release.
