Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in IBM DB2, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error during DB2 UDB authentication and may potentially be exploited to cause a memory corruption or instance crash.

The vulnerability reportedly affects version 9.1.

Solution:
Apply Interim Fix Pack 3a or update to Fix Pack 4 once it is available.
