rPath has acknowledged a security issue in initscripts, which potentially can be exploited by malicious, local users to disclose sensitive information.
The security issue is caused due to the init scripts not correctly setting the file permissions for /var/log/btmp. This can be exploited to e.g. disclose the passwords of OpenSSH users if bad logins are logged.
Solution: Update to "initscripts=conary.rpath.com@rpl:1/8.12-8.10-1".
Provided and/or discovered by: Reported by the vendor.
