Beskrivelse:
Der er rapporteret en sårbarhed i diverse Cisco-produkter, som kan udnyttes af ondsindede personer til at udføre et DoS (Denial of Service).
Sårbarheden skyldes en fejl i implementationen af Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) under håndteringen af EAP Response Identity pakker. Dette kan udnyttes til at genstarte en sårbar netværksenhed.
Sårbarheden berører følgende produkter:
* Wireless EAP 12.3.JA, 12.3.JEA, 12.3.JEB, 12.3.JEC og 12.4.JA
* Wired EAP (Cisco IOS) 12.1 og 12.2
* Wired EAP (Cisco CatOS) 6.x, 7.x og 8.x
